Water Curtain Spray Booth

A water curtain spray booth traps paint overspray in a flowing sheet of water at the back of the booth. It is the standard booth for liquid paint production and the booth type paired with most Lynvex lines.

How the water curtain works

Extracted air pulls overspray toward the back panel, where the water curtain washes it into the tank instead of letting it build up on filters. The result is steadier airflow over a shift and cleaner air around the operator. The mini water curtain booth in this family measures W2900 x D1100 x H850 mm, with a package size of 60 x 50 x 60 cm and a weight of 60 kg; production booths are sized to your largest part.

Sizing a production booth

Booth width and height follow the largest part plus gun and operator clearance; extraction follows the booth's open face. Tell us whether spraying is manual, by axis machine or by robot, and whether a conveyor passes through — the booth is then drawn around that answer.

Service and warranty

This equipment is supplied with a 12-month warranty. Spare wear parts (guns, nozzles, filters, belts) are listed in the quotation so you can stock them at commissioning.

Application scope

Spray booths serve any production painting that values finish quality and operator air: liquid paint lines, stand-alone spray stations, touch-up and repair bays. A booth's real product is controlled air — overspray carried away predictably, dust kept off wet film, and a workspace where a painter or a machine can repeat the same result all shift.

Booth choice also follows the coating's safety profile. Solvent-based paints need extraction and electrics specified for flammable vapours; water-based paints relax some requirements but punish poor airflow with slow drying and dust nibs. State your paint system in the inquiry so the booth is specified for it, not for a generic case.

Keeping a booth performing

A booth performs as maintained: water curtain booths need sludge removal and water level checks; dry booths need filter changes before the filters load up and starve the airflow. In both types the symptom of neglect is the same — finish defects that look like coating problems but are airflow problems. The proposal includes the maintenance rhythm for your paint type and volume.

What to send for a configured quotation

  • Part drawings or photos, with the largest part size (L x W x H)
  • Coating type and finish requirements (colour, gloss, film thickness if specified)
  • Required output: parts per hour or per shift, and working hours per day
  • Destination country and local power supply (voltage / frequency)
  • Workshop space available for the machine or line, if a full line is planned

Buyer questions

What maintenance does the curtain need?

Sludge removal from the tank and water top-ups are the routine jobs. The proposal states the cleaning interval for your paint type.
